PRIME-CKD aims to identify, validate and implement biomarkers for kidney disease progression and thus improve the treatment response of individual patients to drugs that enhance kidney outcomes into clinical practice.

In a New York Times article, Dr. Subramaniam Pennathur sheds light on the groundbreaking benefits of semaglutide, offering new hope to patients battling chronic kidney disease and Type 2 diabetes.

The intent of this pilot program is to provide seed money for researchers to obtain subsequent extramural funding. If funded, the proposed start date for the P&F grants will be January 1, 2023.
