MKTC Director Dr. Subramaniam Pennathur Featured in The New York Times

Dr. Subramaniam Pennathur, Norman Radin Professor and Chief, Division of Nephrology, Department of Medicine and Molecular and Integrative Physiology was recently interviewed by Dani Blum of the New York Times discussing the implications of a recently published  study in the New England Journal of Medicine. This study found that the drug semaglutide (Ozempic and Wegovy) significantly reduced risks for diabetic kidney disease progression and cardiovascular disease in patients with type 2 diabetes.
